If you upgrade from a previous version using an offline game 'PATCH', or log into battle.net which automatically upgrades your version, the method posted above WILL work. If you register on battle.net and download the full offline game 'INSTALLER' after version 1.14b, this method of downgrading won't work. How do I revert to Diablo 2? Here are the steps to downgrade and then upgrade the game to the appropriate version: Download this file, extract the archive in another directory and copy the files in your Diablo 2: LoD directory, overwriting existing files. If you don't feel like having both installed at once, just uninstall, then reinstall, then use the 1.11 patch. You won't be able to connect to Bnet though. It'll save all of your saved games, unless you tell it not to. Got kinda sentimental about D2 and wanted to play it after like 15 years but I must say, 800x600 is pain in the eye totally refuse to play with this resolution today. Is there any mod for higher resolution? I found some on internet, not for latest version cannot make it work. Is downgrade possible? Not like the version actually gives anything.
Diablo 2 Patch Downgrade
I spent some time having fun working with D2 1.13c files, modding stuff and playing some.Downgrade Your Diablo 2 Patch Download

Then I realized I missed using the {filtered} and multiloaders for D2, and sadly most of them don't support 1.13c (probably due to the lack of D2 players nowadays and higher detection rates)And also some tools which only support versions like 1.10 and 1.11
I'm pretty sure there's no significant change from 1.10 to 1.13c other than a few balance fixes, uber bosses, and some new items.
So... can you actually go from 1.13c to 1.10 keeping the modded data alive? I don't care about charsaves or anything I just want to save my work.
It would really be a pain in the ass to re-do the countless cube recipes, waypoints, drop rates, skills, new items, etc.
